Ex-QUIET RIOT Guitarist CARLOS CAVAZO Featured In New 'The Right To Rock' Podcast
September 29, 2007TheRighttoRock.com has has issued its latest podcast (episode #30),featuring guitarist Carlos Cavazo. Carlos discusses his days in QUIET RIOT as well as his latest project 3 LEGGED DOGG. Carlos also talks about the current state of "Metal Health" as well as his past glories. The interview lasts approximately 45 minutes and can be found at this location.
As previously reported, 3 LEGGED DOGG, the band featuring Cavazo alongside bassist Jimmy Bain (DIO, RAINBOW),vocalist Chas West (BONHAM, LYNCH MOB),guitarist Brian Young (DAVID LEE ROTH),and drummer Vinny Appice (DIO, BLACK SABBATH),has cancelled its previously announced UK tour (which was to take place between September 28 and October 8) "due to scheduling conflicts." The group hopes to reschedule the dates during the coming months.
3 LEGGED DOGG's cover version of BLACK SABBATH's "The Mob Rules" was released on a CD accompanying Classic Rock magazine's October 2007 issue featuring various artists' versions of songs from movie soundtracks. "The Mob Rules" was originally included in the movie "Heavy Metal".
The first-ever video from 3 LEGGED DOGG, "Give and Take Away", can be viewed below. Shot in Los Angeles, the clip was directed by Raz, who has worked with a wide variety of renowned artists — the DWARVES, JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT, and CHERRY ST. Additionally, the clip was edited by Allison D. Gill (who has worked with Rusty Cooley, DISTANT THUNDER, AZRAEL'S BANE, MAGISTRAL) at Diamond Recording & Productions, Houston, TX.
The clip that accompanies the ZEPPELIN-esque tune is refreshingly unlike the majority of overblown videos nowadays — no "Lord of the Rings" reenactments here, just the quintet jamming away on a sound stage.
3 LEGGED DOGG issued its debut album, "Frozen Summer", late last year.
